Dr Epps is a Consultant Medical Ophthalmologist subspecialising in Neuro-ophthalmology and Uveitis at Bristol Eye Hospital, University Hospitals Bristol. He completed core medical training in general internal medicine and gained MRCP before training in medical ophthalmology with a Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Training Fellowship followed by Clinical Fellowships in Neuro-ophthalmology and Uveitis. 

Dr Epps works in the Regional Ocular Inflammation Service seeing tertiary referrals from across south-west England and south Wales and for which he co-chairs the regional MDT meeting. He has an interest in clinical research for patients with ocular inflammatory disease and holds a weekly research clinic for patients participating in clinical trials in uveitis: he is a PI for the NIHR ASTUTE Trial and National CI for the CLARITY Trial. Dr Epps is the Clinical Lead for Neuro-ophthalmology at Bristol Eye Hospital and is the Education and Training Lead for the UK Neuro-ophthalmology Society.
