Silke received her UGME in Freiburg and trained at Brighton and Hamburg University where she passed her CCT in General Medicine and Nephrology and spent her post-doc research years on the detection of molecular and cellular markers of disease activity in RPGN. Silke joined Manchester Foundation Trust in 2018, was awarded a MAHSC Fellowship in 2022 and an NIHR SCPRA in 2024 to improve patient experience and outcomes in ANCA vasculitides. 

She works on biomarkers and risk phenotyping in systemic vasculitides and RPGN. She has expertise in prediction modelling and developed the ANCA Kidney Risk Score
