Professor Linda Bauld OBE FMedSci FRSE FRCPE FAcSS FFPH is the Bruce and John Usher Chair in Public Health in the Usher Institute, University of Edinburgh and Chief Social Policy Adviser to the Scottish Government (SG). She is Principal Investigator for Behavioural Research UK, funded by UKRI as a leadership hub for behavioural research involving eight Universities and partners across sectors. Linda is Vice Chair of Diabetes UK, board member of the Faculty of Public Health, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Academy of Social Sciences and the Canadian Institute for Health Research’s programme on population and public health. In her SG role, she (with Richard Foggo) is senior responsible officer for Scotland's Population Health Framework and works across policy areas to improve the use of data and research. Linda is a former scientific adviser to the UK government’s Department of Health and Cancer Research UK.
