Dr Nadia Sarween MBChB, MSc, PhD, FRCP
Dr Sarween was awarded a CCT in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine in 2019. She obtained the RCP Professional Diploma in Obstetric Medicine in 2024 following a sabbatical in 2023 completing her Obstetric Medicine training at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. She has been working as a Consultant Nephrologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham since 2020 and as an Obstetric Physician at Birmingham Women’s Hospital since 2024. Her specialist interests include Obstetric Nephrology and Renal Inflammatory Diseases. She is a core member of the QEHB Glomerular Vasculitis and Lupus MDT.
She completed a PhD in Obstetric Nephrology and Pre-eclampsia and co-leads the West Midlands Renal Obstetric service undertaking monthly renal antenatal and pre-pregnancy clinics and providing input at a monthly regional MDT. She is a member of the West Midlands Maternal Medicine Network and has recently been awarded a Clinical Academic Research Partnership to undertake research into longer term health outcomes following pregnancy with the health informatics team at the University of Birmingham.
