Mark is a consultant nephrologist with significant subspecialty expertise in vasculitis gained through 6 years’ experience working as a clinical research fellow in the specialist Vasculitis and Lupus Centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. During this time, he also gained substantial clinical trial experience as trial physician for a multisite clinical trial, and completed a PhD investigating mechanisms and clinical implications of B cell targeted therapies for the treatment of ANCA-associated vasculitis. He now works in Belfast City Hospital where he is leading the expansion of the vasculitis service and clinical research programme for Belfast Trust and the wider region.
