Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
Alice is a committed clinical nurse with thirty years of experience across various medical specialties. She spent 20 of those years as a Nurse Specialist in Rheumatology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, where she cared for people with autoimmune and rheumatic conditions and contributed to research. She continues to hold an honorary contract with the Trust and now works as a research nurse with the RECORDER TEAM at the University of Nottingham.
Alice is especially interested in supporting research to improve treatments for rare autoimmune rheumatic diseases like vasculitis, lupus, and scleroderma. She is passionate about working closely with patients to find practical strategies that promote well-being, helping them better understand, cope with, and manage their long-term health conditions and symptoms.
In 2017, Alice received the Nursing Times HRH Prince of Wales Award for her efforts in setting up Tai Chi classes to support people managing long-term health issues.
