Georgina has been a part of larger interdisciplinary team for patients with vasculitis since 2020, specialising in vasculitis after joining the Rheumatology department as a specialist nurse in 2016.

Georgina is the Vasculitis Specialist Nurse at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. She is part of a dedicated team improving outcomes for patients with vasculitis. She runs nurse-led clinics providing education and ongoing assessment for patients with all types of vasculitis. In addition to this she also has a weekly ultrasonography clinic for patients with suspected active large vessel vasculitis within the scope of the GCA fast track pathway.

Georgina has been the lead author and co-author for publications including ultrasonography training for a specialist nurse, quality standards in GCA and improving the care of patients with GCA. Georgina is currently part of a taskforce working on EULAR recommendations for LVV and PMR.

Georgina is a strong supporter of nurse education working with the BSR to help devise study day programmes.  She welcomes the opportunity provided by UKIVAS to continue in this endeavour.
