Jean graduated from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in June 2005 with a BSc in Occupational Therapy.  She has worked for the NHS and in private practice in London over 15 years in a variety of settings.  In 2013 Jean completed a Masters in Hand Therapy at Brunel University.  She was awarded accreditation as a Hand Therapist (AHT) by the British Association of Hand Therapy (BAHT) in November 2013 (renewed 2019 & 2025). Jean received Certification as a Hand Therapist by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) in 2021.

Jean has a keen interest in working in developing countries and has worked in Haiti and Nepal over the last 15 years.  

In March 2022 Jean opened The Hand Therapy Clinic, a private clinic in Dublin, Ireland offering hand therapy services for the elbow, wrist and hand.  

Jean is an active committee member of the Irish Association of Hand Therapists and of the Global Partnerships Committee with the British Association of Hand Therapists. She is passionate about hand therapy and committed to developing the practice both nationally and internationally.
