Nigel North is a Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist.  He works in a physical rehabilitation centre at Salisbury District Hospital where he specialises in chronic pain and polytrauma.

He trained in Edinburgh and has always worked in the field of physical health.  He was previously head of the Clinical Psychology Department at Salisbury District Hospital but retired in 2024, returning immediately to a purely clinical role.

He is widely published in the areas of neuropsychology, spinal cord injury, communication in healthcare, stroke and chronic pain.  He is a visiting professor at Bournemouth University.
