Linda Cornish

President
British Association of Hand Therapists

I graduated from Bath School of Physiotherapy in 1989 and moved to the Bournemouth area partly to live near the sea! But also, to begin working as a junior rotational physiotherapist. I moved to Southampton for my first senior job in 1993 and later began working as a Clinical Specialist in Hand Therapy in 2002 at University Hospitals Southampton.

In 2005 we began organising the Southampton Hand Course – a role that was to become useful in my current role as President of BAHT! I currently work at the University Hospitals Dorset as a Clinical Specialist in Hand Therapy which is much closer to home. I first joined the BAHT committee in 2019 and took the role of Director of Bursaries, I progressed to the position of Vice Chair in 2022 and became President (formally known as BAHT chair) in November 2025 at the joint BSSH and BAHT conference in Birmingham.
